About an hour before game-time The Chiefs received very good news that Chris "Hardcore" Hutton would be jumping on board to join the Chiefs this season. Chris is a very hyper individual with fiesty attributes and will be one of the diggers on the squad with also and excellent finishing touch around the net.
Sunday, July 6, 2003 -
The Chiefs are on the verge of signing Welland resident Bryce Barna to a 2 month deal. Barna is a reliable defenceman with a lethal shot from the point and should make an already dependable defense core only stronger.
Tuesday, July 8, 2003 -
Matt Hajek has just informed the club that he would like to come on board as the official Tailgater/Heckler. His very own words were, "I'd give my left Slovakian nut to be apart of this hockey club"!! On another note, contract talks are still up in the air concerning the signing of Bryce Barna.
Wednesday, July 9, 2003 -
The Chiefs sign a very big deal with BrockFord Car Dealership as their new sponsor. Special thanks goes to "The Dirtbox" Pete Stirpe for striking the deal for the team. Also, Bryce Barna signed with the team today, and Kevin Twocock played his first game with a strong effort.
Monday, July 14, 2003 -
The Chiefs tested the best team in St. Catharines in a tough match that was tied at 1-1 for quite a while, but then a poor defensive lapse killed them. The Chiefs were asked to play in the highest division which is level "A", but chose to play in only level "B" right now to get some more experience and see how they fair with the way they are playing right now. Also, Joe Ambrous has signed on with the Chiefs as their new manager and motivational speaker.

Tuesday, July 22, 2003 -
Blake Bishop has been named as the Chiefs team captain. Bishop has tremendous leadership skills, and General Manager, Joe Ambrous hopes that the recent promotion to Captain adds a boost of confidence to get Bishop to start scoring more for his troops. Bishop will be joined by alternate captains Mark Biamonte, Chris "Hardcore" Hutton, and Bryce Barna.
Saturday, July 26, 2003 -
After the great performance of Anthony Ferrante with his 2 goal birthday performance, the Chiefs have signed him to a temporary A/P (affiliated player) contract. Ferrante and the Chiefs are so close to striking a deal, but it all will perspire after further great performances when the gritty winger is once again called upon for duty. GM Joe Ambrous has also showed slight interest in Ferrante's play.
Sunday, July 27, 2003 -
The Chiefs have premoted "Slovakian Thunder" Matt Hajek to an A/P contract. He will still continue his duties as a heckler/tailgater for the Chiefs as well. This leaves the Chiefs with two A/P's that have played Phenomenonly. Anthony Ferrante scored twice the game before and Matt Hajek buried two today. These guys have more goals then some guys on the team. The only way to settle this A/P scandal is to let these two guys brawl it out to see who will be #1. If they "chuck the knucks", then I got my money on Ferrante..haha!!
Friday, August 1, 2003 - The Chiefs will be out of action for the next week or so as the majority of the team will be in Wasaga Beach, WOOOOOO!!
Wednesday, August 6, 2003 - The Chiefs return from their crazy trip in Wasaga. They play tonight at 8:00 at the Beach. Let's see how long it takes to shake the rust off, and the beer.
Thursday, August 7, 2003 - Mark Biamonte has been suspended for 10 games, but the Chiefs have been given an option to buy his suspension out for the playoffs. Whether or not they do is up to GM Joe Ambrous. Also, the Chiefs pulled off one of their most impressive wins of the season just 1 day ago with only 5 players at the game, and two affiliates filling in.
Saturday, August 16, 2003 - The playoffs are just around the corner, and the Chiefs look to be at their best. They have been playing their last few games without any intensity whatsoever, but somehow coming out with wins. When playoffs come around and this team begins to actually give it their best, the Chiefs are going to be a very hard team to knock off. Also, the Chiefs have 5 of their players in the top 10 in scoring in the league. That is a pretty impressive stat.
Sunday, August 17, 2003 - Blake Bishop has killed the monkey off his back, and buried his first goal last game. Mark Biamonte's suspension is almost done and served, but the Chiefs have been fined 50 dollars. The Chiefs have appealed this decision to try and have the fine reduced. If things are cleared up, Biamonte will be back in the lineup for the playoffs which is very good news for the Chiefs.
